Every Siu umbrella carries the same quiet mechanism: a patch, heat-pressed into the canopy, that remembers how to fold.
The last gesture of the rain
A conventional folding umbrella ends every rain the same way — cold fingers pinching wet fabric, coaxing creases back into line. It is a small indignity, repeated thousands of times.
Heat-set memory
The memory patch is heat-set into the canopy as one piece, holding a permanent shape at each fold line. When the frame closes, the patches pull the fabric back along its remembered geometry — one shake, and the canopy settles flat and orderly.
What one shake changes
Closing an umbrella becomes a single gesture. The canopy stays crease-free and keeps its shape wash after wash of weather; the sleeve slides on without a fight. Across the whole Siu range — clip handles, compacts, reverse folds, grand canopies — the patch is the constant.
